Week Four - The Finale

I regained the little weight I lost last week.  This has been Teacher Appreciation Week, and we seem to be appreciated with food.  It was nice to sit around with peers and colleagues and nosh on pastries, so I don't regret the tiny bit of weight I put back on.

Overall, I think the program is great.  Could you eat the same food for less cost?  Probably so, but you're paying not only for the food, but also for the convenience.  For the discounted price I got of $4 per meal, it was totally worth it.  I lost seven pounds in four weeks with minimal effort, no weird pills, and no cooking.  You can't beat that!

As for this week's food, it was still all quite good.  Everything was repeat food except for two items:

Rotisserie chicken - moist and tender, good flavor: A
Fajita chicken - also moist and tender, but had a chunk of fat in one slice: A-

Again, it's the best pre-packaged diet food I've ever had, and I've tried a few programs. If you are looking for convenience with good flavor, it's a solid bet.  I recommend staying away from the chicken sticks (they're ground up and reformed chicken meat, and that just grosses me out a bit), but everything else has been fantastic.  Overall I give the program a thumbs up.  The customer service was great, they sent me weekly support emails and videos, and the food tasted like food.

If you decide to order, and you'd like to help out a single mom who is going back to grad school, you can order from the link they sent me - you get a $50 discount, and so do I.  :)  You can click on the link below.  If you can find a better discount, though, don't feel pressured to use mine!

Whether you try personal trainer food or something else, good luck to all of you in your attempts to battle the bulge.  In this day and age, with processed low-nutrient foods around us all day, it's hard to eat healthy without a plan.  The personal trainer food plan was definitely easy for me.

  1. Thanks for your posts - as you mentioned, it's hard to find what appear to be subjective reviews.

  2. Adrena,

This blog and reviews were great. What would you eat for breakfasts and snacks? I just purchased the same deal but will start in a week and a half.

  3. I didn't even think to put that on here! I was eating a protein-enriched flax seed oatmeal that I found at Kroger in their organic boxes foods section. It was pretty good. Sometimes I ate shredded wheat with fat free milk when I wasn't in the mood for oatmeal. I need some grains in my diet or I feel low on energy all day! I usually had a cheese stick, some almonds or cashews, or some raw carrots as a snack, and I would snack once in the morning and once in the afternoon.

  4. Hi Adrena,

Based on your reviews and a coupon from Tippr, I decided to try Personal Trainer Food as well. I also got the 28 lunches and 28 dinners and just started on September 30, so I'm only on my second day and I cannot believe how good the food is! I'm so thrilled and I will be even more thrilled if I actually lose some weight. I decided to wait two weeks before weighing myself, (it's definitely going to be hard!) but I just wanted to thank you for your thorough reviews and to congratulate you on your weight loss!

Hoping that I'm just as successful,

    Sirena

  5. Hi Adrena, thanks for your candid reviews. It was hard to find ones that didn't seem to be sponsored by PTF. I'm ordering the program this week and hope that I enjoy the food and see as good results. Thanks!

  6. Thanks for the review. I recently just saw this offered as a deal on AmazonLocal and wanted to do some research before committing to something so pricey. Like you, I'm all about the convenience, sometimes working up to 12 hours/day, it's easy to just pop whatever is convenient into my mouth. Thanks so much for the honest review!!!

  7. Thank you for documenting your experience with PTF! My husband and I just ordered the 28 lunches & dinners through a deal on Groupon. We're excited about it and reading about your experience makes me even more excited! Glad to hear the food is tasty. I might write about my journey too so that others can find an unbiased review!
